Justin was a Waddell & Reed client for five years and saw the demonstrated value and positive impact of receiving advice from a financial advisor that he decided to become one himself. After a successful eleven-year career in healthcare administration, he made a career change and joined Waddell & Reed as a financial advisor in 2009.
Justin prides himself in building long-term, personal connections with his clients and their unique financial situations. He invests the time required to understand their financial objectives and helps them build a personalized plan to pursue their financial goals. He enjoys guiding his clients through ever-changing market dynamics and applying strong, fundamental investment principles to each scenario.
Justin obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from Iowa State University and a Masters in Hospital and Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa.
Justin has been married to his wife Kathy since 1996 and they are raising two active teenage daughters. Their daughter’s interests have changed as they have grown from ballet school and Nutcracker productions to show-jumping competitions. Living out in the country on 10 acres, of course, is not complete without a pet miniature horse named Blue. Justin always looks forward to his annual camping and canoe trip with his father to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota.
